A personal walk inspired by what Earl Carpenter - Broadway and West End performer - values most about the Isle of Wight - space, coastline, and the quiet moments that make the Island special.
A circular walk from Yarmouth linking quiet inland paths with the dramatic ridge of Tennyson Down. Panoramic views stretch across the Channel and over Compton Bay, before a gentler return via Totland and Colwell Bay’s coastal path.
Length of walk: 11-13 miles (4.5-6 hours)

Pace of Walk: Moderate - This walk will follow a moderate pace.
Walk grade: Fairly Strenuous - A challenging walk, suitable for fit walkers with some experience. Steep gradients, stiles and steps and uneven surfaces to be expected.
Walk Mobility: Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind
