“Your will above all else, my purpose remains the art of losing myself in bringing You praise.”You’re invited to join us for an uplifting evening of worship on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 6 pm in the Faith Center. Come as you are and lift your voice in praise as we gather to sing powerful and reflective worship songs. The 9:27 Musicians will lead this uplifting evening of praise, and will be joined by some of the original vocalists and instrumentalists of St. John’s Contemporary Worship Musicians. The evening will also include an original song by Davis Brown, and personal testimonies from musicians.
Michael Board (Contemporary Worship Leader) and I asked our musicians team to help us select the songs for this special evening of worship. Several of our vocalists will lead a song that they chose, and we’ve included songs requested by our instrumentalists, as well, because these are the songs that speak to their hearts.
Members of the congregation also helped shape this night of worship by requesting their favorite worship songs. The evening will include worship music from Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, well known worship artists, and classic worship songs such as “Shout the the Lord”.
‘From the Inside Out’ is a popular worship song by Hillsong, which has been used often in worship through the years. Our hope is that all will be encouraged and inspired to worship our God from the inside out. When we shift our focus, allowing space and time for God in our lives, we are filled with deep joy, gratitude, and a love that cannot be contained. Worship is our response, and it isn’t just reserved for Sunday mornings, it’s part of our everyday lives. We hope you’ll set aside some time to come and worship with us: to dance in God’s freedom, to be still and know that God is good and faithful, and to be wholly consumed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
