´Long before the Bench Press made its appearance and became the most popular exercise for the upper body, lifting heavy weights overhead was considered to be one of the ultimate expressions of strength.
This workshop will teach you how to reach the old heights of strength that started to get lost.
Three exercises will guide you in a step-by-step approach:
The Get-up will not only build shoulder mobility and stability to prepare you to lift overhead, but also lay a foundation to support heavy weights overhead.
The Military Press is not only a classic test of strength but a great platform to learn the tension and strength principles.
The Side Press will not only enable you to lift kettlebells of an (at least today) unheard of weight overhead, it is also a great builder for the upper body and was favoured by iconic lifters like Paul Anderson.
