ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
"From Rupture to Repair: Ethical Considerations in Emotional Bonding" is a dynamic and interactive workshop designed for licensed therapists. This session delves into the ethical challenges that arise when facilitating emotional bonding in therapy, particularly during moments of rupture and repair. Grounded in the principles of relational ethics, this workshop explores how to navigate dual responsibilities: fostering emotional safety and honoring therapeutic boundaries. Participants will leave with practical tools to ensure their work remains ethically grounded while promoting authentic healing.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
James Furrow, Ph.D., is an EFT certified practitioner, supervisor and trainer. He’s a recognized leader in the development and practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Together with EFT originator, Susan Johnson, Ed.D., Jim co-authored Becoming an EFT Therapist: The Workbook and was co-editor of The EFT Casebook, along with other works specific to the practice of EFT with couples and families. His presentations are well regarded nationally and internationally for their substantive, practical and inspiring focus.
Jim maintains an active research program studying the process of EFT and its outcome. His research interests focus on couple therapy, interpersonal relationships, and resilience with at-risk youth. Formerly the Freed Professor of Marital and Family Therapy at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology he has trained psychologists and marital and family therapists in couple therapy for over two decades. He is a clinical member and an approved supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a member of the National Council on Family Relations, and a Certified Family Life Educator.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
In the event that you have paid for an upcoming event but are not able to attend, you may request a refund up to 30 days prior to the event.
Refund requests must be received in writing via email to: [email protected]. Requests received at least 60 days prior to the start of the event will receive a full refund of the registration minus the Eventbrite refund fee. Requests received between 30-59 days prior to the start of the event will receive a 50% refund of the registration minute the Eventbrite refund fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start of the event.
