About this Event

Join us for an engaging In Conversation event marking 50 years of the School of Clinical Medicine. Together, we will reflect on the School’s origins, celebrate key milestones in research, education and partnership with the NHS, and explore the ambitions shaping the next decades.

Paul qualified in Medicine from the University of London’s Middlesex Hospital Medical School before coming to Cambridge in 1975 as Medical Registrar to Dr Theo Chalmers, the Foundation Clinical Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine. Paul was one of the School’s first Clinical Supervisors and a Lecturer in Medicine, and was appointed Consultant Physician at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds in 1982. He became Associate Clinical Dean at Cambridge’s School of Clinical Medicine in 1995, and the Foundation Director of the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine in 1999.
