The animal shelter environment, despite its vital mission, is a uniquely stressful place for dogs. Unfamiliar sights, sounds, and unpredictable routines can lead to high levels of fear, anxiety, stress, conflict and panic (FASCP), often causing dogs to shut down or exhibit reactive behaviors that hinder their chances of adoption. This crucial seminar is for all shelter and rescue team members—staff, volunteers, and foster caregivers—designed to provide the knowledge and practical skills needed to improve the emotional wellbeing of the dogs in your care.
