About this Event
This workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate producers who want to become more confident and efficient in the studio.
We'll focus on how to quickly translate ideas into music, develop a smooth workflow when working with artists, and stay creative under time constraints.
Participants will also get a look into my production process, including how I approach sampling and shaping sounds into a full record. The goal is to help producers spend less time overthinking and more time creating.
Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).
The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
OG Spaceman is an Afro-fusion artist and producer redefining sound with a blend of R&B, Afrobeat, and alternative hip-hop.
Based in Canada, he creates emotionally rich, genre-bending music that resonates globally. As both a producer and artist, his work focuses on storytelling, creative experimentation, and building soundscapes that connect with listeners across cultures.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists.
Alcove is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!
