From Idea to Action

Please note: To join this workshop you or your business needs to reside within one of the following GM local authorities: Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside or Trafford, Wigan.

You also need to be: The owner of a business OR an aspiring entrepreneur with a business idea you want to develop.

To ensure we have the correct information, please fill out the Generator Registration Form, or bring one of the following forms of identification with you to the workshop:

• Your National Insurance (NI) number – if you have not yet registered a business
• Your Companies House registration number or Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) – if you have registered a company with Companies House or are self-employed/sole trader registered with HMRC

Kindly note that we may not be able to admit you to the workshop without this information, so we strongly encourage you to have it ready on the day.

Session summary:

• A practical and interactive workshop designed to support early-stage business owners in planning their next 90 days

• Combines structured business planning tools with reflective exercises to build clarity, focus, and motivation

• Supports participants to move from ideas and intentions into realistic, actionable steps

• Focuses on creating a simple, flexible plan that can be adapted as they learn and grow

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Define a clear and meaningful 90-day business objective

• Set measurable and achievable goals to track progress

• Break down larger ideas into manageable, actionable steps

• Identify and prioritise key strategies for business growth

• Apply simple planning tools to support ongoing development

• Identify adn anticipate potential challenges and develop simple practical strategies to overcome them

• Reflect on their motivations and align their business direction with their values

• Feel more confident in making decisions and taking action
