This is a class for the garden and food lovers!Imagine going out into the garden, harvesting all the ripe and ready produce, then taking them to the kitchen and turning them into something extraordinary? We’re going to be using a great variety of techniques and tools in this class.
If you love delicious and vibrant food, then you’re going to love this class.
Saturday 1st of March 10am-2pm SA TIME
We’re going to create a Spiralled Vegetable Tart, that not only looks gorgeous, but because we make our own pesto to go in it from scratch and use all the veggies in the garden, it also tastes sensational. Did I mention we’d also make the pastry from scratch as well? It’s quicker than defrosting frozen pastry and I can’t wait to share this with you.
Have you ever made your own Ricotta, added herbs and seasoning and stuffed Zucchini flowers with them, to enjoy them as Tempura Stuffed Zucchini flowers? It’s a taste sensation, basically a party in your mouth!
We’ve got to do something special with Tomatoes and we can discuss it on the day and choose from quite a few options. My favourite thing is Shakshuka Eggs and this is the perfect time of year to eat that!
How about making ice cream from scratch, using the fruit from the garden? I’m thinking Apple Crumble Ice cream or if the strawberries are ready, Strawberry & Villa Ice cream. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to make a really good ice cream base and use an ice cream maker.
Our pantry is the Potager Garden, in full Summer swing, so I can only salivate at what’s going to be on our table at the end of the day.
The best part is we eat all the delicious things we’ve made on the day in a seasonal feast.
I also email you the recipes from the day so you can have a reminder of all the things that we’ve learnt.
