Five centuries ago, the young prince Babur, with a poet's heart and a warrior's soul, carried a vision across mountains and deserts. His resilience was shaped by loss, exile and odds that always seemed against him. Luck was never on his side for he lost kingdoms as soon as he claimed them.
He wandered across unforgiving landscapes with little more than a vision he refused to abandon. From the valleys of Farghana to the ancient capital of Hindustan, Dilli. He rose above failures, fell in love, marvelled at nature and wrote poetry.
Through sheer grit and gumption he realized his vision and wrestled from fate, his grand Empire.. Babur’s journey was not merely one of conquest, but of endurance, of carving meaning out of chaos. Against all uncertainty, he laid the foundation of what would become one of the grandest empires of the world in its time.
This Sunday we will be revisiting the early days of the Mughal Empire and tracing the life and journeys of Babur and his son Humayun in the first Mughal city of Delhi - Dinpanah.
Walk presentation will be done in English and a bit of Hindustani!
