You've seen the magnificent bull weathervane atop the cupola of the Richmond West Monitor Barn, a landmark visible from I-89 and Route 2. But did you know its story began right here in Duxbury?The Duxbury Historical Society is proud to host a special presentation by metal artist Eric Bauer of Bauer Metalworks and Skip Flanders. They will share the surprising tale of how the collaboration between two former college roommates led to the creation of this impressive weathervane, which now graces the historic barn that is home to the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about a local project that has become a lasting symbol of Vermont's past and present.
