Judi Byron leads another Qi Gong series on Tuesdays, beginning mid-September through October. The 8 Brocades, also referred to as Ba Duan Jin is one of the most popular Qi Gong practices dating back nearly 1000 years. Qi Gong combines mindful movement with meditation and breath to strengthen the body, quiet the mind, and balance the emotions. The 8 Brocades is also known as the Eight Brocades of Silk because of the silken quality of movements practiced during this form. Ancient texts reveal that the Eight Brocades was also a form of Qigong designed to eliminate fatigue.
Register with [email protected] for this 6 week series beginning on September 16 at noon and running consecutive Tuesdays until October 21. We will meet in the library’s garden at or the SAL Room in case of weather.
