About this Event

Course Overview

This advanced, one-day hands-on lab is designed for physical therapists, performance specialists, and athletic trainers working with athletes returning to sport following knee injury. The program emphasizes the integration of objective data into clinical and performance decision-making, focusing not just on what to measure, but why those metrics matter. Participants will engage in real-time testing using technologies such as force plates, force frames, and Biodex systems, and learn how to interpret key metrics like reactive strength, rate of force development, and strength-to-bodyweight ratios. Through collaborative case-based discussions and practical exercise demonstrations, attendees will explore the rationale behind training decisions to better understand how data informs exercise selection, progression, and modification to support safe, effective, and individualized return-to-sport outcomes.

Learning Objectives

· Identify appropriate timing and application of performance technologies to monitor progress and guide return-to-sport decisions in knee rehabilitation.

· Interpret and analyze objective performance data to inform clinical and training interventions.

· Engage in interdisciplinary case-based discussions to collaboratively evaluate athlete readiness and adjust programming based on assessment outcomes.

· Demonstrate exercise progressions and regressions using performance metrics to support individualized rehab and performance plans.
