For generations, our people have carried the weight of systems that separated us from our identity, our purpose, and our communities. Incarceration did not begin with prison walls — it began when our ceremonies were outlawed, our languages silenced, and our ways of life disrupted. Yet, what was never lost is the spirit of who we are.From Chains to Ceremony is a three-day gathering rooted in reconnection, restoration, and responsibility.
This event creates space for formerly incarcerated individuals, families, and communities to reclaim cultural identity as a pathway to healing. Through ceremony, storytelling, teachings, and shared experience, we move beyond survival toward purpose.
