From Access Cavity to Obturation

This one day intensive hands-on endodontic course with Dr Ammar Al Hourani, aims to develop an understanding of the steps required to achieve predictable, reproducible, and successful endodontic outcomes using evidence-based endodontic principles. The blended learning approach brings together theoretical knowledge with hands-on training. The format will allow for consolidation of existing skills and development of new approaches to overcome common endodontic difficulties.

The course will update clinicians’ knowledge of endodontic pre-assessment, case complexity and special investigations to achieve the correct diagnosis. The course will also enhance the clinicians’ techniques of access cavity design, canal location and chemo-mechanical preparation of the root canal system using novel NiTi systems including the new GenEndo file by Septodont. Furthermore, the clinician will be introduced to bioceramic sealers and the rise of the Single cone obturation technique and various traditional and contemporary obturation techniques. Furthermore, delegates will gain experience in the placement of Biodentine in deep carious lesions and pulp exposure cases.
