About this Event
Join Detroit Bird Alliance trip leaders Jim Bull and Bruce Szczechowski at the Southgate Nature Center to listen for and maybe see our amphibious friends play their balloon like wind instruments as ponds and marshes turn into symphonies of frog love songs. You may even catch a glimpse of Woodcocks, Great Horned Owls, and an amazing variety of other wildlife in this 40 acre preserve.
The Southgate Nature Center is adjacent to the Southgate Anderson High School. The Detroit Bird Alliance leaders will guide you along about a one mile wood chip path that winds around ponds and marshy areas. The paths may be a bit muddy so wear appropriate footwear. There may also be ticks.
