In samenwerking met kunst-en educatie collectief Homing, graag nodigen wij u uit voor een bijzonder storytelling event waar Surinaamse ouderen uit Amsterdam hun verhalen zullen delen bij Framer Framed.

Frigiti Tori, wat vertaald uit het Surinaams Vergeten Verhalen betekent, is een project van Homing in samenwerking met enkele Surinaamse ouderen die in Amsterdam wonen. Op zaterdag 2 oktober nodigen we je uit bij Framer Framed aanwezig te zijn voor onze workshop: "Het vertellen van de vergeten verhalen". Ontdek de veerkracht van onze oudere generatie die de uitdagingen van migratie en de pandemie behelst.

Homing is een kunst-en educatiecollectief, opgericht door gedragsdeskundige Charlaine Reval en Rijksakademie alumni Laura O’Neill (RA 17/18). Hun onderzoek en projecten zijn gericht op lokale en mondiale gemeenschappen waarbinnen de relatie tussen natuur, mens en technologie centraal staat.

Frigiti Tori is een van de projecten die wordt gefaciliteerd door de Workshop Social Art Practice. Deze workshop wordt gehost door de Rijksakademie en Framer Framed om te investeren in het versterken van Social Art Practices. In november 2021 geeft het Amsterdam Museum een plekje aan Frigiti Tori. In collaboration with arts and educational collective Homing, we would like to invite you to a special storytelling event where Suriname elderly people from Amsterdam will be sharing their stories at Framer Framed.

Frigiti Tori, which translated from Surinam means forgotten stories, is a project by Homing in collaboration with the Suriname elderly people that are based in Amsterdam. On Saturday the 2nd of October, we invite you to join us at Framer Framed for our ongoing reflective storytelling workshop; drawing from the hearts and minds of the elderly Suriname community. Come explore the power of resilience in personal stories of migration and the pandemic.

Frigiti Tori is one of the projects facilitated by the Workshop Social Art Practice. This workshop is hosted by the Rijksakademie and Framer Framed to invest in strengthening Social Art Practices. The Amsterdam Museum will also give floor to Frigiti Tori in November 2021. More information will follow soon.

Homing is an arts and educational collective, between behavioural psychologist Charlaine Reval and Rijksakademie alumni Laura O’Neill (RA 17/18). Their ongoing investigations and projects focus on collaborations with local and global communities, where the relationship between nature/human/technology is key.
