Workshop & Concert | Monday, February 2
The internationally renowned Finnish folk band FRIGG concludes their Bagaduce Music Residency at Meetinghouse Arts in Freeport on Monday, February 2, presented by Bagaduce Music. Joining the band throughout the residency is Maine guitarist Noah Fishman.
FRIGG is known worldwide for their exhilarating fusion of Finnish pelimanni music, Nordic dance rhythms, and bluegrass-inspired drive. Their sound—often described as “Nordgrass”—is bold, melodic, and irresistibly joyful.
The Freeport event follows concerts in Rockport and Blue Hill and includes an all-levels instrumental workshop earlier in the afternoon (separate ticket required), emphasizing collaboration, education, and community music-making, followed by a Spelmanslag After-party. Bring friends or come solo and take a spin on the dance floor… no experience needed!”
This event is generously sponsored by Maine Fiddle Camp.
