This concert marks the first in our 2025/26 Bradley Hills Presents series, where The Friends of Music welcome exceptional musicians from around the world to our sanctuary, renowned for its beauty and superb acousticsIt is hard to overstate the power and brilliance of organist James O’Donnell’s musicianship. Now Organist Emeritus at Westminster Abbey, O’Donnell led music at the Abbey for many state occasions over his 23-year tenure, including for the 2022 state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. In 2023 O’Donnell was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by King Charles III. O’Donnell now serves on the faculty of the Yale School of Music. Recent solo performances include at the BBC Proms, at the Royal Festival Hall in London, and with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Join O’Donnell for a performance on Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church’s magnificent Holtkamp organ, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
