Guest Speaker - Rachel Williams:
Rachel began her media career at 17, starting as a cadet journalist in 2000, and has remained deeply passionate about the industry ever since. Drawn to storytelling, she became a trusted source of Tasmanian news, spending a decade as a television news presenter.
A strong advocate for local, independent journalism, Rachel purchased the North‑Eastern Advertiser in July 2023 to save the paper from closure.
Rachel is married to James and is a proud mum to three boys – Hamish, Rupert and Edmund. The family loves spending time at their Bridport shack and walking the beach with their West Highland Terrier, Bonnie.
