Friends Night Out at the Concho Clay Studio

Looking for a creative night out? Friends Night Out at the Concho Clay Studio is a monthly hands-on ceramics workshop designed for beginners and anyone who wants to be creative with clay.
Each workshop will feature a different project, from functional pieces like chip-and-dip serving platters to holiday luminaries. Classes are hands-on with instructor demonstrations. No experience needed! Students will receive their own clay as needed for each project.
Come with friends, bring a date, or come solo and meet new people!
Where to Go & What to Expect:
Your class will meet each week at the Concho Clay Studio. This studio is part of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, located at 1 Love Street, San Angelo, TX. 76903. Look for the signs outside of the studio! Our entrance is located to the left of the main museum, up the ramp in the breezeway.
- Tools and materials are provided for this workshop.
- A ceramics instructor will guide you step-by-step through the creation process.
- You will design and create a unique ceramics piece.
- Your finished piece will be fired and glazed by SAMFA staff, and you’ll be notified when it’s ready for pickup.
Important Notes:
- This class is for adults only (18 years or older). Concho Clay Studio offers youth programming for ceramic courses. Be sure to attend Family Day every third Saturday of the month where kids can get creative in the clay studio for free!
- Your clay piece will need time to dry and be fired in the kiln. Finished projects will typically be ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks. You will be notified when your piece is ready.
