Friday Night Willow Workshop - Giant Flowers
Come join us for a fun and creative Willow Workshop at Helensburgh's newest event space, Burgh Yard. Relax into the weekend by creating your own unique willow flowers using flexible willow withies. The technique used to create the flower centres is the same as weaving a basket base so this workshop is a great introduction to basketry.
Jen from Woodhead Willow will introduce you to working with willow and guide you through the process. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or anyone wanting to learn new willow skills. All materials and tools will be provided. The group size is deliberately kept small so that everyone can get individual support.
Tea and coffee will be available. Average hand strength and dexterity is required - if this could be an issue please get in touch.
