It’s the Friday Night Freak Show at the Oriental Theatre on Friday, Dec. 19, and we’re featuring Gremlins, WMSE’s version of a holiday movie. The 1984 American black comedy horror film is directed by Joe Dante, written by Chris Columbus and stars Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Hoyt Axton, Polly Holliday and Frances Lee McCain, with Howie Mandel providing the voice of Gizmo the Mogwai.A young man inadvertently breaks three important rules concerning his new pet, which unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous creatures on a small town.
The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a special live DJ set featuring Matt from City Rock Showgram. Then, at 7:30, the Gremlins take over.
