The dance journey will open with a grounding process, gentle warm-up, then flow through a curated musical journey: soft ambient and downtempo to land in your body, world and tribal rhythms to awaken the hips, soulful house and melodic techno to lift the energy, peak with trance/bass-driven grooves for full-expression dancing, then ease back through chillout and ethereal soundscapes for integration.
The journey will close with a short circle to share gratitude and come back into presence. Come as you are — move, release, and reconnect.

ABOUT US:
The Canberra Ecstatic Dance Collective monthly dance offering is a safe and supportive space to express, release, and experience joy through movement.
Each dance has a different theme and a different facilitator, BUT every dance will be a safe space to explore movement within a dynamic dance community.
MORE ABOUT THE DANCE:
These dances are lovingly curated to take you on a journey which peaks and brings you gently back down again. The purpose of this dance is to simply let go and let your body move you.
You may find yourself focusing on one part of your body, wanting to connect your body with the floor, or dance with another person (consensually!) You may wish to sit out or lie down and rest. You may feel emotion moving through you.
Whatever is intrinsically and authentically emerging from within is what we are opening up to and creating space for. Uninhibited movement is encouraged, whilst being respectful of others in the space.
