The beachKraft is proud to host Life Drawing events with Live Models!
Live, clothed or nude models in themed and traditional poses.
Bring your own art supplies or purchase some at the gallery. You only need your sketchbook or drawing paper and a pencil, but you may bring any materials you prefer to use for figure drawing.
We have stand-up easels and tabletop easels available
Beginners welcome! No experience necessary, we will coach those new to drawing or new to figure drawing.
$25 per session as we pay models in full - no tipping necessary, but still appreciated.

Live Model Drawing – Spring 2026
- Figure Drawing Fridays – 6:00pm – 8:00pm EVERY Friday!
- Our working studio and gallery is equipped with lighting, stage and privacy curtains.
- “Undraped” (nude) figure drawing sessions are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Fridays of the month.
- Clothed and costumed sessions are held the first and third and fifth Fridays of the month. We encourage models to wear form-fitting clothing that shows anatomy in clothed sessions. We do costumed and themed sessions October-December for our anime themed show and holidays as appropriate.
- Join us after the session for social time at Jiang Court or Olney Beer and Wine.

Model arrival and setup
Info: Model shows up at 5:30pm to get ready for poses.
Gesture - five 1 minute poses, three 5 minute poses
Info: We typically start with five 1 minute poses to allow artists to warm up and modes to present more dynamic poses that can't be held for longer periods. If time allows we will break for 5 minutes, then move in to three 5 minute poses. After the 5 minute poses, a 5 minute break for models to stretch and artists to socialize and fix charcoal drawings will be provided.
15 minute poses
Info: We will do two 15 minute poses with 5 minute breaks in between.
30 minute pose
Info: We finish with one 30 minute pose or one longer pose broken up in 15-30 minute segments.
