Friday fun group is back! This year we will meet the 2nd Friday of the month from 1pm-2pm at the Orono Public Library (OPL) in their Community Room. This group is for all ages and we will have plenty of opportunities for passive play so kids can play with each other without pressure and parents can connect with other parents too.
The library has Legos and a game cabinet in the community room that we are welcome to use. We will also do an occasional craft (take and make kits available for kids who would rather play and do the craft at home) or do an art activity like coloring or play doh.
The library also has a great outdoor space (with a hill that can be used for sledding) and a puppet theater in the children's area. OPL also participates in the reciprocal borrowing program so if you have a library card from another town you may still be able to borrow books too! If you don't have a library card, the Bangor Public Library offers cards free to anyone in the State of Maine and their card can be used at the Orono Public Library.
