How does it feel to walk into a museum space? In these silent rooms, the bright white walls full of art depict the lives of the few, leaving many feelings left out of the narrative. Coordinated by The Office of Arts & Culture and funded by Seattle City Light’s 1% for Art Fund, Fresh Perspectives is an intensive summer employment opportunity that provides a dive deep into the world of art curation and administration.FRESSSSSH!, curated by the ten BIPOC Young Adult/Youth curators, offers a view into the world of five BIPOC artists: Damon Brown, Aramis Hamer, Warren W. Pope, Warren A. Pope, and Kellie Colemon. These artists have captured the presence, history, and identity of some of the most hidden narratives in American culture. Be prepared for a fresh experience that will inspire, challenge, and open your perspective.
Curators: Ahmir Huggins, Anyanka Ceballos-Baliga, Naima Joseph, Joshua Williams, Dream Bernard, Yaniyah Oliver, Othello Smith, Kimilo Jahn, Mimi Wallace, and Ruson Summerquist.
