Fresh NA Beverages at Home: A Hands-On Workshop for Sober\/Sober-Curious

This is for you if:
--You want something that isn't alcohol, but more interesting than ice tea and soda pop.
--You know there are lots of packaged drinks out there, and those are great, but you want something that feels fresh and lively that you can make at home without buying extra products.
--Yes, you know about sparkling water.
--You see bartenders creating enticing NA cocktails at some of the bars (Awesome!), but you don't always want to go out and spend $$ for a single drink.
--You like to feel special, and want your guests to feel special as well... no booze required!
--You're curious who else would come to an event like this!

You would love some new ideas for upleveling your home non-alcoholic cocktail game, and also wouldn't it be nice to have an expert who can demonstrate how to do it, give you the opportunity to try it yourself, and be there to answer questions?
And if you could only have some fun new people to do this with....

We've got the perfect afternoon all planned for you!

Join Sam, a former bar manager and fan of the slow food movement as your expert teacher, and Naomi, former fine dining server, now founder of the My Sober Girlfriends social community as your host, for an afternoon experience of tasting, learning, making, and having fun with like-minded folks!

Savor the freshness of the season and create delicious non-alcoholic beverages from seasonal produce for your next gathering or sober happy hour on the back patio!

Learn everything you need to consider when making fruity shrubs, no-cook syrups and beautiful, delicious garnishes for your non-alcoholic refreshments.

Sample delicious crafted drinks (Sam's bringing samples of different things to try!)
Eat healthy gourmet snacks (Not your basic Costco cheese tray!)
And make your own products, following along step-by-step, asking questions along the way.

ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED

You will take home:
-a packet of recipes
-a jar of fruit shrub
-a bottle of fruit syrup

And... who knows... you may even make some new friends!

You know what I like to say about workshops? They are like a party for introverts! And that's going to be the vibe for this one.

Whether you are sober, sober-curious, or maybe have friends or family who are on their own journey and you want to be able to support them...

Amaze everyone else and your tastebuds with the fresh, seasonal concoctions you'll be able to whip up after this event.

Make a friend or bring a friend... If you purchase two or more tickets, you get $10 off each one.
(open to all genders)
Room is limited, so save your spot before you miss your chance!

Your Instructor and Host

INSTRUCTOR
Class taught by Samantha Romananski, former bar manager, Certified Holistic Nutritionist

About Sam:
Sam is originally from the Catskill Mountains in upstate NY, where at 15, she got a job in a farm-to-table restaurant in a country town. This early experience of the “slow food” movement shaped her outlook on health, the craft of food culture and the connections we build with others around food.
In 2018, Sam became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, and started teaching sourdough workshops. Since then, she’s expanded her offerings to teach a wide range of whole-foods based cooking, baking and nutrition classes. She hopes more folks can experience the joy of crafting meals and beverages from scratch, and the connection that sharing and eating home-made food can foster to ourselves, our health and our community.

HOST
This workshop is hosted by Naomi Veak, former fine dining server, founder of My Sober Girlfriends social community for badass sober women in the Portland area.

About Naomi :
Sober since 2018, Naomi's been connecting like-minded folks in the Portland area since January 2020 through meetups, gatherings, workshops, facilitated events, parties, and more... both online and in-person. She believes that choosing an alcohol-free lifestyle should expand your experience of life, not shrink it!
