Fresh Air Families is a weekly summer program designed for parents and caregivers to explore local trails and parks while building meaningful community.
At Roots, we believe that getting outside is essential to parents’ health and well-being. Time outdoors offers a gentle reset—a chance to shift the scenery, feel grounded, and simply breathe. You don’t have to be a seasoned hiker or an “extreme adventurer” to benefit from fresh air, sunshine, and movement. Whether it’s wind in your hair, sun on your face, or dirt beneath your feet, these moments matter.
Join us as we explore the trails around Bozeman in a supportive, judgment-free space. This group welcomes all families, including expecting parents.
No hiking experience is necessary. You’re invited to move at your own pace—pause for snacks, connect with others, split into smaller groups, turn around early, or stay the whole time. Come to one hike or many—whatever works for your family. Everyone is welcome.
🐶 A quick note about pets: For the safety and comfort of all participants — especially our littlest hikers — we kindly ask that dogs stay at home. Thank you for understanding!
