Arthur, a music critic for a famous magazine, is demoted to field reporting after one mistake too many. While covering the evacuation of a migrant camp near Paris, he becomes the victim of police violence and unexpectedly turns into the public face of the refugee cause. This new role brings him closer to Mathilde, a former lawyer now leading a migrant support association, and leads him to host Daoud, a young Afghan asylum seeker, while his application is processed.
