In this city-wide treasure hunt, players explore Fremantle while searching for hidden temporal beacons left behind by the professor’s malfunctioning time machine.
By finding these hidden beacons, players discover the history of Fremantle while solving puzzles on the treasure map.
Completing the map uncovers the final hidden beacon, returning the professor safely to the present.
All players who complete the map go in the draw to win the professor’s hidden chest of gold coins valued at $1000.
Explore Fremantle’s historic streets while solving puzzles inspired by the city’s past.
This is a free, family-friendly, and self-guided activity, allowing players to explore the city at their own pace.
HOW TO PLAY
1. Download and print the treasure map. (Available from Friday 17 April)
2. Use the map to locate hidden beacons around Fremantle.
3. Scan each beacon with your NFC-compatible smartphone to reveal a message from the professor.*
4. Use the message and clues in the surrounding area to solve puzzles on the map.
5. Solve all the puzzles to reveal a hidden location and help return the professor to the present.
The experience takes approximately 60–90 minutes to complete, but players can explore at their own pace.
PRIZE
Players who successfully complete the treasure hunt enter the draw to win a treasure chest of gold coins valued at $1000.**
The prize draw will take place at 5:00pm on 18 May.
