Originating from Japan, Freedom LA is a music festival held in SoCal showcasing artists from around the world who are dedicated to Japanese music. Held in the OC Japan Fair, our mission is to bridge Japanese music, art, food, and drinks with those interested in Japanese culture. Produced by Japanese music artist, MINMI!

Sky lanterns have long been part of Asian traditions, symbolizing hope, gratitude, and the release of worries into the sky. Come together during this magical moment as we release sky lanterns on Sat, Apr. 4th!

Purchasing an Early Bird package with admission offers extra savings, so be sure to get yours early!

*Lanterns cannot be picked up after 7:30 PM, and refunds are not available. Please be on time!

• Helium gas (Non-flammable & safe)
• Made of nylon (50cm height × 35cm width, rectangular shape)
• Custom-sized balloon
• LED light (12-color LED) *The color will be programmed on our side.

  Avoid the crowds! Enjoy a special viewing section located directly in front of the main stage. Tickets are limited.

Children 6 and under & over 65 are FREE (no ticket required).

Food Vendors:

Over 65 food vendors are joining us this year! From street food to fresh and authentic sushi and sweets, vendors from all across Japan & US come to share Japanese food culture during this event. Enjoy the taste of the Japanese Umami.

Drinks:

Japanese Sake for tasting, Asahi Draft Beer, cute bottle juice, smoothie, matcha, boba, and more drinks are available!

Shop:

Shop from more than 190 vendors! Anime, Kimono, Crane games, Gatcha, and traditional Japanese items can be only found at OC Japan Fair!

Cosplay:

Come in cosplay! You can join us as your favorite character, and meet many cosplayers! We also have a cosplay show at OC stage on Saturday! (register required in advance)

Three Stages:

Freedom stage for Japanese music, OC stage for fun and entertainment, Nakamise stage for traditional performances! There will be a variety of performances such as traditional Japanese instruments, J-POP Music, Comedy shows, Tuna Cutting show, and more.
