About this Event
Freedom 26 – Our Stories, Our Strength
Freedom 26 is a landmark annual celebration of cultural diversity, wellness, and community connection. Originally launched in 2019 under New Horizon Media Arts (NHMA), the festival has grown into a vibrant platform uniting artists, youth, seniors, and community leaders through creative expression.
In 2026, Freedom 26 will be proudly hosted by the Canadian Reel and Art Foundation (CRAAF). This year’s theme, “Our Stories, Our Strength,” highlights the power of lived experiences, intergenerational voices, and cultural heritage in building resilient communities.
The event will feature multicultural performances, music, dance, art exhibitions, storytelling, wellness activities, youth and senior showcases, and a dynamic community marketplace. Building on previous editions that welcomed over 300 attendees, Freedom 26 promises an inspiring day of connection, empowerment, and celebration.
Join us as we honour our journeys, amplify diverse voices, and celebrate the strength found in every story.
