Restorative: Hips and Low back TLC
In the dark months of the winter, learn the art of strengthening the body, relaxing the nervous system, and deeply restoring prana, the body's subtle energy or life-force. This is a breathe and alignment -based, joint-friendly class, pefect for those gifted with either stiffness or flexability. In Chinese Medicine, winter time is the time when the water element is dominant, and special attention will be given to the bladder and kidney channels, to nourish our watery yin energy.
Renee is a long-time yoga teacher rooted in the ashtanga vinyasa and iyengar yoga traditions with a strong therapeutic and playful approach to help make the practice accessible for everyone. BKS Iyengar's quote, "Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured" has been an empowering mantra for Renee's yoga journey which she loves sharing with others.
