Free Workshop, "You Need Me and I Need Space: Respectfully Parenting Children With Intense Connection Needs"
Come join us for a workshop led by The Occuplaytional Therapist, Kelsie Olds, who will dive into the topic "You Need Me and I Need Space: Respectfully Parenting Children With Intense Connection Needs." Some children are naturally deep feelers, while others face early challenges that leave lasting effects. These kids may be labeled as “clingy,” “needy,” or “emotional” as they work to meet their intense connection needs. Positive parenting can make it hard for adults to balance their child’s needs with their own well-being and boundaries. Kelsie shares theory as well as practical ways to empower parents to meet the needs of everyone in their family – themselves included.
This in-person event will be held at Milestones Play Gym & Pediatric Therapy. Parents are welcome to bring their children, and there will be dedicated play spaces to help keep them entertained during the workshop. Due to the generous support of Raising Orchid Kids, LLC, which provides education and coaching for parents of neurodivergent kids, this event is free to attend.
In lieu of a ticket cost, parents who are so inclined can choose to make a donation during the event to The Fairy Godmother Project, a nonprofit organization offering support to families dealing with pediatric cancer. Donations are not required but are appreciated.
