Enjoy FREE drawing workshops and creative activities this summer at Elysium Gallery!This summer, our Gallery Two exhibition space will be converted into an open-access drawing studio, complementing our new drawing exhibition in Gallery One – Ian Andrews: The Sketchbook and the Collider.

Drawing to Music
Join us and guest artist Karen Hopkins as we experience the joy of drawing to live music! Using fun, unconventional mark-making tools, create large-scale expressive shapes or delicate details inspired by the music provided by Ceri Matthews and the Tune School crew. Let rhythm guide your movement—whether using your whole body or making subtle marks—turning sound into visual expression.

This is a family workshop. All adults must be accompanied by children aged 16 or under.

Join us and artist Jonathan Powell for an afternoon of drawing to your favourite music. This is not a set workshop, you can stay for a couple of minutes or the whole day, just turn up and draw and have fun!

Join us and guest artist Jenny Chisolm for a creative journey into drawing imagined landscapes. You'll explore techniques in composition, perspective, and texture while crafting scenes inspired by your inner world. Consider natural patterns and textures that can represent real or imagined places, bringing your unique vision to life onto paper or even the walls!
