**Registration is essential, as numbers are limited**Welcome to the Wellness Riders crew! Our free summer skate sessions are all about learning the fundamentals of skateboarding in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment while connecting with new skate mates.
Participants will learn the basics of skateboarding, including how to push, brake, turn, cruise and carve, with options to explore simple tricks and fun skate games depending on confidence and experience. Our experienced coaches support complete beginners through to more confident riders, helping everyone progress at their own pace.
We provide a wide range of boards to borrow — including cruisers, surf-skates, longboards and trick boards — along with helmets and protective gear, so no equipment is needed to get started.
Two Available Session Times:
10:30am - 12:00pm
1:00pm - 2:30pm
These sessions are family-friendly and focused on supporting girls and women of all ages, from around age 5 through to adults.
They’re a great activity for mums and daughters, friends, and anyone wanting a welcoming introduction to skateboarding or extra support exploring skateparks.
Our coaches are passionate about creating a positive, social space that builds confidence, breaks down barriers, and helps participants feel safe, supported, and part of a wider skate community.
Everyone is welcome — just bring a drink bottle, flat covered shoes, comfortable clothing, and settle in for a relaxed, enjoyable session.
