The Crossing Clarendon offers free weekly fitness classes in The Loop as part of our Summer Sweat Series.
Join us on Saturday, July 20th for a vinyasa flow yoga class 10:00 AM. Please bring your own towel, water bottle, and yoga mat. This class is powered by lululemon and led by Dr. Candace P. Harding PT, DPT, OCS.
Vinyasa Flow is an actively flowing class that places breath with movement (vinyasa is a Sanskrit word that means “to place in a special way”) and focuses on variations on sun salutations as well as standing and seated postures, accessible strength-building movements, backbends, and a closing series with opportunities to get creative and play throughout your practice.
About the Instructor
Dr. Candace P. Harding PT, DPT, OCS is the owner of Thrive with Dr. C Integrative Physical Therapy and a DMV Metro Region Ambassador for lululemon as a yoga instructor. She is a certified integrative lifestyle medicine practitioner, and yoga instructor serving Northern Virginia. She received her Doctor of PhysicalTherapy (DPT) degree from The George Washington University. Dr. C is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist with post-doctoral coursework distinguishing her as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. As a former dancer, she has a love and passion for movement which lead her to yoga. Since obtaining a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in 2016, she has taken her interest in yoga further to study Professional Yoga Therapy (PYT) and Integrative Lifestyle Medicine, at the LivingWell Institute with Dr. Ginger Garner PT, DPT, ATC, PYT. In 2018, she completed training in Yin Yoga under the direction of Alicia Collier E-RYT 200, RYT 500 at Extend Yoga. She has also trained 130 hours in Rocket Yoga with Ahmed Jabali-Nash E-RYT 500 and the Global Rocket Yoga Collective. She has co-hosted international yoga retreats in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Bali.
