We're partnering with non-profit Neighborhood Forest to give you and your child a free tree for Earth Day! Simply register for a free tree which will be handed out to registered children & families at the Barry Community & Business Expo on April 19 from 10am-1pm. Neighborhood Forest will inform all of us what type of trees that will be sent to Michigan late March or early April, but promise they will be native species or fruit/nut bearing. Scan the QR code shown, or visit https://bit.ly/HPLFreeTrees . Registration Required to register (you can leave "Teacher's Name" blank).
If for some reason you can't pick up at the Expo, the alternate pick up date April 21 at the Library Info Desk. For the HEALTH of the saplings, any unclaimed trees will be available first come first serve on April 22.
You can register for a tree until March 15, but do it today to remind yourself that warmer days are coming soon! Pick up your tree and plant it in your yard or someplace you can care for it.
