Public Tour Times: 10:00 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Join the Navy for a guided bus tour of the environmental cleanup sites at HPNS. This is a great opportunity for community members to visit the site and ask questions.
Meeting Location:
The bus will be parked near the HPNS Main Gate at 451 Galvez Avenue for sign-in and boarding.
Reserve Your Spot
- Tours last approximately 90 minutes
- Arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and board
- Reservations recommended; walk-ons welcome (based on space)
- If a tour is full, you can join the waitlist or sign up for a future tour

Are reservations required?
- No. Reservations are recommended, but not required.
How many seats can I reserve?
- Due to the popularity of the tours, we request that participants register for no more than 2 seats and choose one tour to attend.
Is there an age limit for the tour? Can I bring children?
- Due to the format and content of the tour, it is best suited for participants ages 16 and older.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
- Please email [email protected] with any questions about the HPNS Bus Tours.
I didn't receive a ticket - what do I do?
- Your registration on Eventbrite will serve as your ticket and confirmation.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
- No. Someone can help you check in when you arrive by providing your name.
How can I update my registration information?
- Please log onto Eventbrite to update your registration or cancel your seat. You may also send an email to [email protected] to update registration information or cancel your seat.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?
- Yes. Please update your reservation on Eventbrite or send the name of the person who will be taking your seat(s) to [email protected].
Can I take photos and/or video on the tour?
- Photos are allowed with respect for others’ privacy. Large camera equipment is discouraged. Video is not permitted. Media must coordinate separately with the Navy Public Affairs Office.
Am I able to get off during the tour and walk around the former shipyard?
- At the Navy's discretion, guests may be allowed the opportunity to exit the bus at identified tour stops as a part of the hosted session. The remainder of the tour will be seated, visible through the bus windows only.
Will the Navy conduct interviews for members of the media or bloggers?
- No. This is a community tour, not a media event. Professional media recordings or interviews will not be allowed. Members of the media may send an email to [email protected] to discuss their interests.
Are there restroom facilities on the bus?
- No. There are restrooms available inside Building 101 during Open Studios hours (11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.). The tour is approximately 90 minutes long. Please plan accordingly.
Is translation available during the tour?

Is the bus ADA compliant?
