From the Arlington baths and swimming pond, to nearby Burnbank Grounds and beyond, there was cricket, bowls, curling, football and tennis, not to mention lots of public green space in the wonderful “West End Park”, now Kelvingrove Park, plus the many beautiful private pleasure gardens.
