Discover the magic of ancient Cyprus, an island with a unique and complex history. Located in the eastern Mediterranean, it straddled both the Greek and Near Eastern worlds in antiquity — a fact seen most vividly in its religious sites, where Greek and Phoenician elements sat side by side for centuries. In this free lecture, Dr Chris Gribbin will explore some of ancient Cyprus' most spectacular religious sites, and the fascinating myths that went along with them.
