STRANGER DANGER AWARENESS WORKSHOP (FREE COMMUNITY EVENT)Join us for a free Stranger Danger Awareness Workshop designed to teach children important real-world safety skills in a safe and supportive environment.
This workshop helps children understand how to recognize unsafe situations and what to do if they are ever approached by someone they do not know.
During this workshop we will cover four important areas:
Understanding What a Stranger Is
Children will learn that the concept of a stranger is often more complex than simply “someone you don’t know.” We help kids understand safe vs unsafe situations.
What Children Should Say
Kids will learn specific words and phrases to say if someone approaches them. Clear verbal responses help attract attention and discourage a potential threat.
Escape Techniques Designed for Kids
Children will learn simple escape movements designed specifically for a child’s body. These techniques are focused on getting away and getting to safety.
What To Do After Getting Away
Children will learn who to ask for help, how to stay safe, and how to remember important details that can help adults identify the person.
This is a hands-on workshop that focuses on awareness, confidence, and safety.
