The City of Rochester Fire Department is hosting a free STOP THE BLEED® training to teach simple, effective techniques to control severe bleeding in an emergency. Whether it’s a car accident, workplace injury, or everyday incident, uncontrolled bleeding can become life-threatening in minutes. This training helps you act quickly and confidently before first responders arrive.

You’ll learn how to:
• Recognize life-threatening bleeding
• Apply direct pressure and pack a wound
• Properly use a tourniquet
• Stay calm and take action in high-stress situations

No prior medical experience is required. The training is hands-on, beginner-friendly, and focused on practical skills anyone can use.
