About this Event

Detroit, MI — The Senior Tech Class, a free eight-week educational program created to help older adults build essential digital and technology skills, will launch its upcoming session on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Classes will take place every Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in Room 139 of the Commerce and Finance Building, located at 4001 W. McNichols Rd., Detroit, MI 48221. The program is designed specifically for older adults who want to become more comfortable using technology in their everyday lives.

The Senior Tech Class offers hands-on, practical instruction in a welcoming and supportive learning environment. Participants will receive step-by-step guidance on essential topics such as basic smartphone, tablet, and computer use; navigating the internet; identifying and avoiding online scams; and using everyday digital tools for communication, information, and services. The curriculum emphasizes safety, confidence, and real-world applications, ensuring that seniors can stay connected and informed in an increasingly digital world.

The program is open to older adults in the community at no cost, and no prior technology experience is required. Whether participants are brand new to technology or looking to strengthen existing skills, the class meets learners at their own pace and encourages questions, practice, and peer support.

Community members, caregivers, family members, and local organizations are encouraged to attend and help spread the word to seniors who may benefit from this opportunity. By improving digital literacy, the Senior Tech Class aims to reduce technology barriers and promote independence, connection, and confidence among Detroit’s senior population.

Help us spread the word to empower seniors with crucial digital skills. For more information, call (313) 444-4679 or visit www.SeniorTechClass.com.

Together, we can ensure “No Senior Shall Be Left Behind!”
