The Government of Catalonia invites you to the free screening of “Wolfgang (The Extraordinary),” a comedy-drama directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera.
The film will be shown in Catalan with English subtitles. Admission is free.
Synopsis
This family film blends comedy and drama in a bittersweet story about fatherhood. Based on the novel by Laia Aguilar, it follows Wolfgang, a 10-year-old boy with a 152 IQ and autism spectrum disorder, whose life changes completely after his mother’s death forces him to live with a father he has never met.
This screening is the first film in the : Catalan Cinema Worldwide series, organized by the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the United States and Canada as part of our commitment to sharing Catalonia’s culture and creativity with the Washington community. This initiative is a collaboration with the Acadèmia del Cinema Català, with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull.
