In celebration of the 89th 2026 Royal Poinciana Festival, join Dade Heritage Trust and the Tropical Flowering Tree Society for this lovely walk through the City of Miami's Simpson Park and historic South Miami Avenue, lined with some of Miami's first and offical tree the signature Royal Poinciana . You'll also meet Steve Pearson, former director of the University of Miami's Gifford Arboretum and past president of the Tropical Flowering Tree Society. Steve will talk about the Royal Poinciana and its significance in South Florida. Hope to see you! Be sure to bring a water bottle and wear comfy shoes.
