Hope For Grieving FamiliesHopeSpace, the dedicated children’s grief support service, is hosting a free public talk, ‘Grief in
the Family’. The event aims to provide essential
insights and support for navigating individual and shared grief after a loss.
Grief is a complex and personal journey. While each family member feels the impact of loss differently, shared grief can strengthen bonds or create emotional distance. This session is
designed to help families understand how loss affects them as a unit, recognise normal individual grief responses, and discover ways to meet the challenges of grieving together. The main presentation will be delivered by Estelle McGinley, a Senior Social Worker in palliative
care and bereavement support. Estelle brings 24 years of experience working with grieving
children and supporting bereaved parents. A
Questions & Answers session will follow the presentation, and an opportunity to chat with the
speaker and HopeSpace volunteers.
The talk is a vital resource for anyone who supports grieving families—including family members,
friends, teachers, and professionals.
Admission is free but places must be booked in advance at https://bit.ly/3WI3Osy as the venue has limited capacity.
