About this Event
Over the past few years, pickleball has exploded in popularity, drawing players of all ages to courts across the country. At the same time, pickleball-related injuries have also been on the rise.
Although it’s considered a low-impact sport, it still asks a lot from the body. Quick steps, sudden stops, twists, and reaches put pressure on muscles and joints - potentially leading to injuries, especially for older players. No warmup can remove all risk of injury, but a proper warmup, along with consistent strength and conditioning, can help lower it.
Join us at the YMCA of Greenwich on Friday, March 20, at 12 p.m. for a free, engaging lecture led by pickleball enthusiast and physical therapist, Erin Ruff, PT, DPT from ONS, as she shares a well-rounded approach to staying injury-free and active on the court.
