Most women don’t pay attention to their pelvic floor muscles until something goes wrong, and very often, this happens after pregnancy. However, the pelvic floor is the core of your body, supporting a range of important bodily functions, including urination, bowel movements, sex, pregnancy, and childbirth.
You might have attended a pelvic floor workshop held by specialized physiotherapists, but never one led by a consultant. Gain a comprehensive understanding of your pelvic floor – from the causes of pelvic floor disorders to treatment options and pelvic floor exercises. This event is your pathway to enhanced well-being.
At our event, you’ll find support, information, and resources from one of our Consultant Gynaecologists, Mr. Kumar Muthukumarappan, to empower your pelvic floor! Mr. Muthukumarappan will cover topics like prolapse of the bladder and womb, prolapse of the bowel – differences between young and older patients, and urinary incontinence. Basic pelvic floor exercises and other physio resources will be included as well.
Light refreshments will be provided, and space is limited.
